A colorful flower blooms amm over in this island enclosed by the sea of a beautiful coral reef and emerald green throughout four seasons and the natural environment brought up under the blazing sun enjoys eyes of the tourist who visits from various places. There are world only black pearl cultivation in kabira bay and scenic spot such as Oganzaki, Hirakubo light house, Tamatori Cape Observatory and also cultural asset such as Yaeyama palm colony, Mangrobe y, Miyara Dunch Residence, Ishigaki-shi Dry Garden and so on. The food manufacturing of the farm products processing (sugar and pineapple) from abundant nature and the fishery processing (kamaboko) are main industry. The promotion of the local industry which relates to the sightseeing industry of the black pearl processing, of the textile industry such as (minsah and Yaeyama Johu) earthen ware and the shellfish work, etc. are developing steadily. Since the manufacturing industry of the island is mainly related with the first industry product, it is necessary to invent a new product for tourism industry and also pioneering in the outside market of the island. |
